Alec Baldwin and “Survivor” star Jeff Probst have won Emmy Awards in the same respective categories for the second year in a row at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.
Baldwin won best actor in a comedy series in his role as a slick and unscrupulous network executive in NBC’s “30 Rock”.
Probst takes home his second Emmy as best reality show host.
He won out over Heidi Klum of Bravo’s “Project Runway,” Ryan Seacrest of Fox’s “American Idol,” Tom Bergeron of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” Phil Keoghan of CBS’ “Amazing Race,” and Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi of Bravo’s “Top Chef.”
Probst won the Emmy in that category last year and has been host of “Survivor” since it premiered in 2000.
Toni Collette received the award for best lead actress in a comedy for her role as a mother with an identity disorder in Showtime’s “United States of Tara.”
Jon Cryer won best supporting actor in a comedy series for his role as a hapless father in CBS Corp.’s “Two and a Half Men,” and Kristin Chenoweth also won for supporting actress in a comedy for her role in ABC’s “Pushing Daisies.”
