Max Sica was at the Singh family home so often in the days before a triple murder, witnesses thought he lived there, a court was told yesterday.

Painter Shane Buckingham was one of several tradesmen working on a house adjacent to the Singh's home in Bridgeman Downs in April 2001, reports news.com.au online.

He told a Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday he and his co-workers often saw Sica's car outside the home at Green Tree Close.

"Most days he seemed to appear," Buckingham said. "I just thought he lived there."

The court was told the tradesmen were packing up for the day on April 22, 2001, when Sica arrived at the Singh's home with three children.

Sica, 39, is accused of murdering his former girlfriend Neelma, 24, along with her brother Kunal, 18, and sister Sidhi 12.

The hearing continues.
