In a matter of hours, Suva city will be thrown into a myriad of colours as marching bands lead a procession of  vastly decorated floats carrying this year's Hibiscus queens - 20 of them all vying for the coveted crown.

Balloons, drums and bugle, a sea of curious faces will blend into the fanfare noise and Suva will virtually come to a stand still to allow more than 65 parade entries to walk along the streets and mark the conclusion of the weeklong 2009 Vodafone Hibiscus Festival.

The march will officially begin at 2pm and procession will begin from Suva’s Flea Market down to Albert Park along Victoria Parade.

Practically everything regarding the Hibiscus float procession is about surprise and excitement while the creativity of the 20 contestants representing 20 business houses, are reflected on their floats.

The parade concludes with the crowning of the Vodafone Hibiscus Ladies contestant and Vodafone Hibiscus Charity Queen at 4pm before the entertainment from the Kaila Star Search winner and Make It Count Season Two finalist.

The highlight tonight is crowning of the Hibiscus King and Queen which is set to start at 6pm at the Albert Park main stage.

The crowning will be live on Fiji’s premier website – http://www.FijiLive.com/FijiLive.videostream.php
