Two youths aged 16 and 20 years are being questioned by Nadi police following the discovery of a man’s body in the Nadi River yesterday.
The deceased, a 29-year-old male, was allegedly assaulted and thrown over the Nadi Bridge by four youths early last Saturday morning.
Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokomori told FijiLive that the wife of the deceased has identified the body.
The woman told Police that her husband had left home about 6pm on Friday evening for a family gathering at a cousin’s place.
The couple have two daughters aged 5 and 3.
Police expect to lay charges later today when the post mortem examination results are completed.
