An obscure Fiji-based mining company has created a stir overseas in its efforts for a dual listing, with overseas media reports stating that it is seeking to list on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

US-listed Siga Resources Ltd, a start-up pre-exploration company engaged in search for gold and related minerals, is being represented by financial consultant Anand Nagin, who told Philippine media that plans to list on PSE “would allow it to grow and make a name for itself.”

“We know that every effort will be undertaken to ensure that Siga Resources has a smooth and expeditious process to be formally listed on the PSE,” Nagin said, adding that the company was already in talks with PSE and that it was hopeful of a listing within a year.

Attempts made by FijiLive to contact Nagin through a local telephone number provided proved futile.

However, its company information filed with the US Securities Commission stated that Siga Resources owns the Valolo Gold Claim, a stake it purchased in 2007 for US$5000 from Valolo Group LLC, an independent prospecting company based in Fiji.
