Lawyers representing former board members of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited (FBCL) have asked the court for more time for disclosures.

Former chairman, Daniel Whippy and Champak Kapadia appeared before Magistrate Elsie Hudson this morning.

Whippy was represented by Suruj Sharma and Mehboob Raza while Kapadia was represented by Hemendra Nagin.

Nagin asked FICAC to disclose the financial statements of FBCL from 31 December 2004 to 31 December 2008.

FICAC was represented by Prosecutor Laisa Lagilevu.

The duo was charged on May 1 by for obtaining money by false pretences.

It is alleged they had procured the offer of an advance of $1,030,000.00 from the Westpac Bank for FBCL on the basis of a fictitious resolution.

The matter has been adjourned to 10th August for mention to set a hearing date.
