Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is Fiji’s new Foreign Affairs Minister.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama confirmed his appointment to FijiLive today.
Currently Fiji’s ambassador to Japan, Kubuabola also served as High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea from 2002 to 2005.
He is brother to former Reserve Bank governor Ratu Jone Kubuabola who was also Finance Minister in the ousted Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua government of 2006.
Bainimarama, who currently holds the Foreign Affairs portfolio, said Kubuabola will be sworn in next week.
Kubuabola is expected to be in the country sometime next week for the ceremony.
