All 97 people confirmed with the Pandemic H1N1 2009 virus have recovered, says Fiji’s Health Ministry.
Health spokesman Iliesa Tora says there have been no further reports of the disease in the country.
However, the ministry is still advising people to take precaution continue following the advise given out, regarding H1N1.
“H1N1 is no longer just a traveler's disease. With increasing numbers recorded since the virus broke out, a pattern has emerged that the vrius is now commonly spread at community level.
“The challenge now is for authorities to try and stop the spread of the virus,” Tora said.
He added the ministry was concerned that people were still not taking awareness messages seriously.
The month of August will see the annual Hibiscus festival grace Suva once again and scores of people will be down in the capital city to enjoy the festivities.
Tora said the festival will be a further challenge for the ministry.
There has been no H1N1 deaths in Fiji.
