The accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers today announced the appointment of Kaushick Chandra as a partner from July 1.

Chandra’s admission, it said, will bring the total number of partners in its Fiji form to seven.

Thirty-six year old Chandra began his career with the legacy firm Price Waterhouse in 1995 in the Lautoka office and continued with PricewaterhouseCoopers following the merger in July 1998.

He graduated from New Zealand with a Bachelor of Commerce and Management.

He is a member of the Fiji Institute of Accountants and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Kaushick was seconded to the Auckland office of the firm for 2 years. Following his return from New Zealand in 2007, he joined the Suva office where he will continue to be based.

“He has 15 years of experience in assurance, business and advisory services across various industries including tourism, manufacturing, retail, banking and finance.

“He will be based in the Suva office and take responsibility for a number of clients,” the PwC statement said.

Chandra is expected to take a lead role in the technical support team and people development of the firm.

He serves on the Surveillance Panel of the Fiji Institute of Accountants.
