Man knifes ‘unfaithful’ wife

A man is in police custody after he allegedly hacked his wife over an extra-marital affair yesterday, police say.

Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokmuri said the man, 40, had caught his wife with another man.

“In his anger, he took a cane knife and attacked his wife,” said Sokomuri.

“The woman is in critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital.”

Police investigations continue.
