Suva lawyers Richard Naidu, Jon Apted and Tevita Fa were taken into custody this week by police and questioned for “suspicious activities”, says Director of Police Operations, Senior Superintendent Waisea Tabakau.

Tabakau says the three have been released. He would not say how long they were in custody or what the suspicious activities involved.

He said the investigation is still ongoing.

Naidu and Apted are part of the law firm Munro Leys. Naidu is a managing partner with the firm while Apted is a constitutional lawyer and former supervisor of elections.

Tevita Fa runs Fa and Associates.
