Seven local charity organisations were today helped by Roll Giving, a program of Roll International Corporation, whose businesses include Neptune Shipping and Fiji Water.
Under the program, employees are allocated between $US250 ($F440) to $US1000 ($F1788) to give away to a charity of their choice annually. This year a total of $F11,000 was given to seven organisations.
The AGAPE Community Foundation, Dilkusha Girls Home, Father Law Home, Fiji Red Cross Society, Fiji Society for the Blind, Saint Christopher’s Home and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have been helped by the Roll Giving Program.
Neptune chief executive officer Jerry Joy said last year their 31 eligible employees helped a total of 15 organisations.
“Despite the current economic hardships, the owners of the Roll International are committed to humanitarian outreach” said Joy.
