Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and American football star Tom Brady have wed in a low-key ceremony in California, People magazine reported Friday.

Bundchen, 28, and Brady, 31, "quietly got married in a small, private ceremony" in Santa Monica, California on Thursday, the magazine said citing unnamed sources. It was the first marriage for both.

"The New England Patriots quarterback and the Brazilian supermodel wed just before 6 p.m. at Saint Monica's Church, less than a mile (half-kilometer) from the beach," People reported.

Brady's 1-1/2 year old son, John Edward Thomas, was present. Brady and former girlfriend actress Bridget Moynihan are his parents.

Bundchen, a Victoria's Secret lingerie girl, was discovered at a McDonald's restaurant in her home country before becoming a queen of the catwalk. In 2007 she earned 35 million dollars, according to Forbes magazine.
