A new customer loyalty scheme has been launched by Vodafone Fiji today.
The scheme known as VodaSTAR ensures every Vodafone prepay customer receives free talk time totalling $2.5 million per month.
Speaking at the launch today, Vodafone managing director Aslam Khan said VodaSTAR would revolutionise the way customers were rewarded for loyalty in Fiji.
“This is the largest customer loyalty and reward scheme ever to be announced in Fiji. The scheme will cost Vodafone approximately $30 million annually in direct rewards,” Khan said.
He said under the VodaSTAR scheme, all customers who have been on its network for three months and spends at least $5 to recharge would be entitled for the reward.
“The reward will be in the form of free talk time credited to a customer’s mobile phone every month,” Khan said.
Based on your star rating, a customer will be entitled to free money rewards every month.
As an example, if the customer has been active on the Vodafone network between more than 6 years and recharges on average between $5 to $15, the customer has star rating of three. This customer will receive a loyalty reward of $10 every month credited to his or her mobile.
He added: “The best thing about VodaSTAR is that the customer is able to use instantly to make calls or send SMS. This is not like other loyalty rewards schemes where you accumulate points over a long period of time before you receive any tangible benefits”.
Khan said the Vodafone team had been working on the loyalty reward scheme for some time having invested over $7 million dollars in a data warehousing and customer loyalty management system.
