Fiji police have arrested 32 men in Ba province believed to have been involved in a dispute over traditional fishing grounds.
Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the men, who were villagers of Navala and Nanoko were arrested yesterday afternoon.
The dispute stemmed from an incident on Wednesday where Nanoko villagers were fishing in a river when villagers from Navala arrived claiming the fishing ground was their property.
In retaliation Nanoko villagers attacked Navala villagers with knives, spears and stones.
A bure was later torched and a man hospitalised.
The men are expected to appear in court later today.
