Former Coca Cola Amatil Fiji chief executive Peter Lee is the new deputy chief executive for the Carpenter Groups Pacific operations.
Lee, who was working with CCA in New Zealand in the past few years after his Fiji tenure, will oversee Carpenter Group operations in the South Pacific, including Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa.
Lees appointment comes soon after the group named Daniel Whippy as its Fiji managing director.
The position used to be held by R Bajekal.
Carpenters Fiji operation has an annual turnover of over $400 million, and employs over 2,200 people. Operations include merchandise retailing and wholesaling, automotive and machinery sales and service, transport and shipping agencies, hardware, rental cars, service stations, waste disposal, financial services, ship repairs and property and investments.
Carpenters Fiji is fully owned by MBf Carpenters Limited, a public company incorporated in Australia.
This parent entity also fully owns the Carpenters PNG Group that operates automotive sales and service, hardware merchandising, agriculture, manufacturing and property and investments, and is a retailer and wholesale provider of information technological products and services.
Dr Ninian Mogan Lourdenadin is the chief executive of the ultimate parent company of the Carpenter Group, MBf Holdings Berhad, a Malaysian public company listed on the Bursa Malaysia.
