Naomi Watts has given birth to her second child with partner Liev Schreiber, a spokesperson for the Australian actress was quoted as saying by People magazine on Monday.

Watts, 40, the star of "King Kong" and a 2004 Oscar nominee for her performance in "21 Grams," welcomed a baby boy on Saturday, People reported.

Watts and Schreiber, 41, are already parents to a baby boy, Alexander Pete Schreiber, who was born in July 2007.

Watts, who was born in Britain but moved to Australia as a teenager, is currently reported to be working on a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller "The Birds."

Watts was most recently seen in David Cronenberg's acclaimed 2007 crime thriller "Eastern Promises" and Michael Haneke's dark drama "Funny Games U.S."
