Road casualties in the past week have mounted, with the latest being a 68-year-old taxi driver of Tavua.
The driver, whose identity has not been revealed, died after a head-on collision in Lomaloma, Vatukoula, last night. Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokomuri said the other vehicle was being driven by a 28-year-old school teacher, who has been treated for injuries and sent home. He said the accident happened at 9.30pm. Sokomuri added that police were investigating the accident.
