Former Merchant Finance boss joins Colonial

Former Merchant Finance and Investment Ltd CEO Pramesh Sharma is Colonial National Bank’s general manager investment, it has been confirmed.

Sharma resigned from Merchant Finance in June earlier this year following changes made to Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL), its parent company.

He had been with Merchant Finance for more than 18 years. He was replaced by Home Finance CEO Freddie Keshwan.

Colonial’s general manager distribution and marketing Culden Kamea confirmed Sharma’s appointment but said Colonial would be making a statement to this effect.

Sharma joined Westpac Banking Corporation from Merchant Finance before joining Colonial Bank.
