Westpac’s Port Denarau branch in Nadi will open on Saturdays from tomorrow (Saturday April 19).

This is the second of the bank’s branches that opens on Saturday. The other is Cumming St branch in Suva.

Westpac general manager John Cashmore said the bank continued to grow its business and was committed to providing accessible and efficient service to their customers.

“The opening of Port Denarau branch on Saturdays will allow our customers, tourist and travellers to access the branch to do any bank transaction, including foreign currency exchange, instant international money transfer service via Moneygram or get their normal banking queries answered,” Cashmore said.

He said the opening of another Westpac branch for Saturday trading reinforces Westpac’s commitment to the provision of accessible and efficient banking services to the local community.

“We understand people’s lifestyles and know that there are people who can’t make it to a bank branch during the week due to work and other commitments so opening on Saturday will provide the opportunity to do some aspects of their banking that can only be done at a branch,” he said.

The Port Denarau branch opens from 8:30am to 1pm on Saturdays while the Cumming Street branch in Suva opens from 9am to 1pm.
