Fiji-based 5 star Shangri-La's Fijian Resort has re-branded this year to Shangri-La's Fijian Resort and Spa.
The resort located on Yanuca Island along the Coral Coast in Nadroga is putting final touches to its new CHI Spa, among other renovations and refurbishments carried out at the resort.
Resort general manager, David Hopcroft said the resort had undergone major renovations since 2003 beginning with its 436 rooms, executive suites and bures, which was part of the overall upgrading.
"Our re-branding is significant development for our resort and is again an indication of Shangri-La's commitment to the tourism industry in Fiji," said Hopcroft.
"Set in a lush beach setting, we believe our core strength lies in our people and our product."
He said the upgrading work at Shangri-La's Fijian Resort and Spa also included the addition of a new conventions facility – the Ratu Makutu Events Centre, 6 new one-bedroom premier ocean bures and CHI Spa.
"CHI – The Spa at Shangri-La is the signature spa brand for the Shangri-La Group," Hopcroft added.
The Shangri-La Hotels and Resort manages 54 hotels under Shangri-La and Traders brands with a room inventory of over 24,000.
