POSITION VACANT: Campaigns, Information And Media Officer (Fijian) – Suva Office
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
The key accountabilities and responsibilities of the position are as follows:
• Assist in carrying out all education, information and awareness work for the Council by initiating and organizing of all information production and dissemination, education and awareness program in Fijian/English language effectively and efficiently;
• Assist in the preparation of campaign activities and write press releases ;
• Assist in the development of awareness and publicity materials and also dissemination of in order in Fijian/English through mass media, promotions and publications;
• Assist in the production and distribution of Council’s quarterly newsletter;
• Assist in the organization of World Consumer Rights Day activities;
• Produce monthly and quarterly Divisional activity reports;
• Carry out any other duty as assigned by the Division Manager and Council CEO.
Minimum Qualification Requirement: At least a degree or diploma in communication, education, social sciences or economics, and a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in information dissemination, education or awareness work. Experience in broadcasting, journalism or teaching is desirable. A commitment to consumer issues and good IT skills are added advantages. Ability to speak and write Fijian and English is essential. Have good oral and written communication skills;
Salary: $11,000 - $15,250 The contract will be for 3 years subject to renewal based on consistent good performance.
