SECONDARY TEACHER VACANCIES 2010


Nauru Education Department will open a new Secondary School in 2010 and is seeking the services of qualified and experienced Secondary Teachers to establish the school.


Teachers are sought for the Upper Secondary academic subjects of English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Computer Studies and Technical Drawing.


Teachers are also sought for the upper Secondary TVET range of Certificate I and II courses in Hospitality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Business and Agri-Foods.


Other positions are for teachers who have demonstrated achievements in teaching secondary subjects in the areas of Science, Mathematics, English or TVET at the lower Secondary area.


To be appointed you will have demonstrated success in mentoring younger teachers and be prepared to engage in considerable extra curricular activities for students and teacher development. You will have good ICT skills.


Conditions of engagement include:


• Salary of AUD $16,000 per annum


• Return air flight and uplift expenses


• Accommodation, visas and power supplied


• Accomodation, visas and power supplied


• One year contract


• No Income tax or other deductions


• Commence duties in late January 2010.
