Responsibilities:
This is a full-time teaching position in the Dept. of Aviation Studies, based in Nadi. The specific courses include aviation maintenance and related courses in aircraft systems as part of the flight program. The position also entails involvement in laboratory, training, equipment development and upgrade. Other responsibilities include professional development activities and maintaining good network with the aviation industry; community, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aircraft or Mechanical); Certification with Airframe and Power plant ratings; recent experience working in aviation maintenance as a LAME or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Applicants must have broad and practical experience in aircraft commercial operations, preferably in airline and general aviation, aerospace manufacturing or teaching aircraft systems. The candidate should have a Master’s degree or be in the process of completing it. He/she should have excellent communication skills, be computer literate and have three or more years experience appropriate to the position. Aviation teaching experience is an added advantage. Airline, military or corporate maintenance and/or flight experience is desirable.

Salary:
Salary scale: $19,472.00 to $31,770.00 gross per annum.
