Sitting member Ilatia Tuisese has won the Naitasiri Fijian Communal seat easily for the SDL, scoring 8455 votes. The FLP's Maika Moroca got 425 votes, Independent Manoa Naitala got 413 votes, NAPF's Kavekini Navuso got 404 votes and the NVTLP's Jone Gonevulavula got 353 votes. A total of 10049 votes were cast, but 825 votes were declared invalid.

Caretaker Assistant Fijian Affairs Minister Ratu Suliano Matanitobua has retained the Namosi Fijian Communal seat. Ratu Suliano polled 2481 votes ahead of Nationalist Waisea Batilekaleka with 178 and FLP's Koleta Sivivatu.

Ro Teimumu Kepa has won the Rewa Fijian Provincial Communal seat by 3275 votes in the first count. Her nephew Ro Filipe Tuisawau, an Independent candidate, had 2220 votes. This seat was won by Ro Teimumu in 2001.

Pio Kameli Tabaiwalu of SDL has ben declared the official winner of the Serua Fijian Provincial Communal with 2792 votes on the first count.

Sitting member Samisoni Tikoinasau has won the Tailevu North seat. This seat was won by Tikoinasau's brother, Ilikini Naitini aka George Speight of MV in 2001.

Sitting member Irami Matairavula of the SDL has won the Tailevu South Fijian Communal seat, claiming 6722 of the 9000 plus votes up for grabs.

Sitting member Nanise Nagusuca of SDL has won the North East Fijian Urban Communal on the first count, with 11545 votes. Other included the FLP's Sainiana Rokovucago with 1357 votes, former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives Manasa Tugia (Independent) with 353 votes, NAPF's Saimoni Raikuna with 338 votes and Independent Bogivitu Lotawa with 61 votes. There were 13654 valid votes cast and 906 invalid votes.

Sitting member and Finance Minister in the Qarase Government Ratu Jone Kubuobola of SDL has won the South West Fijian Urban Communal seat with an overwhelming 10,123 votes in the first count. Viliame Katia of FLP had 817 votes, Emosi Silikiwai of NAPF (470) and Independent candidate Seveci Naisilisili (305). Total votes cast in the constituency was 12,518.

Sitting member Mataiasi Ragiagia of SDL has won the Suva City Fijian Urban Communal seat, with 7205 votes. He beat colleague Peni Volavola (880), Apete Naitini of NAPF (760), Josaia Waqabaca of FLP (675), Miriama Cama of NFP (157), Akuila Bale Independent (142), and Semi Uluivuya of NVTL (46).

The SDL's Ratu Jone Waqairatu has won the Tamavua Laucala Urban Fijian Communal seat with 10,880 of the valid votes cast. The FLP's Jone Tuboto was second with 970 votes, the NAPF's Netani Sukanaivalu 788 votes, Laisiasa Corerega of NFP 128 votes, M Kaumaitotoya of Party of Truth 28 votes and Basilio Kalokalodromu Independent 18 votes. Out of the 12,812 registered votes, 679 were declared invalid.

The SDL's Lt Col Inoke Luveni has won the Nasinu Urban Fijian Communal seat, winning 10,631 of the valid votes cast. Other candidates include the FLP's Vilikesa Ravia (800 votes), former seat holder and Independent Emasi Qovu (630) and the NAPF's Jioji Uluinakauvadra (459). There were 12520 votes cast and 837 were invalid.

Bernadette Rounds-Ganilau has won the Suva City General Communal Constituency, recording 1458 votes of the 1366 required to win. Independent Kenneth Zinck received 510 votes, SDL's Aca Lord 702 and NFP's Dan Johns 60.

The Fiji Labour Party's Sanjeet Chand Maharaj has won the Viti Levu East Indian Communal seat. He got 4744 votes while the NFP's Bhima Sami got 946 votes. Maharaj was the sitting MP.

The Fiji Labour Party's Chaitanya Lakshman has won the Viti Levu South/Kadavu Indian Communal seat with 5454 votes. Vimal Prasad of NFP had 834 votes, Vimal Singh of SDL 194 votes and Praveen Narayan of the National Alliance 121 votes.

The FLP's Gyani Nand has won the Suva City Indian Communal seat with 7660 votes over the NFP's Chandu Umaria with 1675.

Dewan Chand of FLP is the unofficial winner of the Laucala Indian Communal with 13,133 votes in the first count. Sundresan Goundar of NFP had the second highest votes of 828. Praveen Chand of NAPF had 544 votes, SDL's Indar Singh had 203, and Dildar Shah of Justice and Freedom Party 18. This seat was won by Kamlesh Arya of FLP in 2001.

Krishna Datt has easily won the Nasinu Indian Communal seat for the FLP, scoring 10940 votes. The NFP's Mohammed Khalim (615) and the SDL's Imraaz Iqbal (219) were second and third. The SDL candidate Hari Sharma and NAPF's Fatima Bibi finished last.

The Fiji Labour Party's Ragho Nand has won the Tailevu/Rewa Indian Communal seat. Nand was the sitting member.

Sitting member Josefa Vosanibola of SDL has won the Tailevu North/Ovalau Open seat with an absolute majority of 7342 votes in the first count. A total of 14,351 valid votes was recorded for this seat. The constituency has 16214 Fijians, 1119 Indians, 58 Rotumans and 502 General Voters.

Caretaker Minister for Social Welfare Adi Asenaca Caucau has won the Tailevu South Lomaiviti seat with 10,400 votes. FLP's Aisea Naikawakawa came in second with 5736 votes, followed by Independent Wailevu Jone Tovehi with 793 votes.

The SDL's Asaeli Masilaca, the sitting member, has won the Nausori/Naitasiri Open seat on the fourth progressive count on NAPF candidate Josaia Gucake's votes. He won 8298 votes. The FLP's Lavenia Padarath was second with 7515 votes. There were a total of 15,813 votes cast in the constituency with 1473 invalid votes.

The Fiji Labour Party's Azim Hussein has won the Nasinu/Rewa Open seat on the fifth progressive count, with 9436 votes. Hussein beat the SDL's John Ali, a former FLP member for the seat, who had 8179 votes. There were a total of 17615 votes cast in the constituency with 1576 invalid votes.

The SDL's Rajesh Singh has won the Cunningham Open seat on the first count with 9831 votes. The FLP's Ramesio Rogovakalali was second with 7492 votes, folowed by Leone Tuisowaqa of NAPF with 659 votes, Aminiasi Delana Independent on 536 votes, Manuel Lui of NFP on 428 votes, Peni Vatubai NAPF on 225 votes and Joketani Delai Social Liberty Party on 49 votes. There were a total of 19,229 votes cast in the constituency with 1344 invalid votes.

The SDL's sitting member, Losena Salabula, has won the Laucala Open seat on the fifth progressive count on preferences. She polled 4 votes more than the Fiji Labour Party's Vijay Krishna Nair who had earlier finished four votes ahead. There were a total of 15698 votes cast in the constituency with 973 invalid votes.

The Fiji Labour Party's Monica Raghwan has won the Samabula/Tamavua Open constituency, with votes on the fourth count. She scored 7162 votes while her rival Dr Baba scored 6118 votes. At the end of the first count she had 5332 votes, sitting member Manoa Dobui of UPP (290), Dr Tupeni Baba of SDL (5939), Filipe Bole of NAPF (961), Pita Nacuva of SDL (92) and Pramod Rae of NFP (666). The constituency has 8522 Fijians, 7288 Indians, 384 Rotumans and 943 General Voters.

The SDL's Misaele Weleilakeba has pulled off an unexpected win in the Suva City Open seat on the fith count to give his party a bonus seat. Weleilakeba narrowly beat Tom Ricketts of the Fiji Labour Party 6135 votes to 5903 votes. He saw off other heavyweights such as National Alliance Party leader Ratu Epeli Ganilau, sitting member and Independent Ofa Swann and the NFP's Attar Singh who were eliminated in earlier counts. Out of the 12,038 registered votes, 813 votes were declared invalid.

The SDL's Mere Samisoni has won the Lami Open after three tries, this time on the first count, winning 7494 of the valid votes cast. She needed to win 6866 to cross 50%. The FLP's Filimoni Lacanivalu was second with 2177 votes. This seat was held by outgoing Minister for Foreign Affairs Kaliopate Tavola.

The SDL's Ted Young has won the Lomaivuna/Namosi/Kadavu Open seat, winning 11,817 of the valid votes cast. The FLP's Mitieli Balaivanualala got 2972 votes and Independent Peter Lee 1395 votes. There were 16,184 votes cast and 1632 were invalid.

UPP leader Mick Beddoes has won his Western General seat with 2234 votes. In second place was the SDL's Pateresio Polania with 1651, followed by Noel Tofinga of NAPF with 453 votes, Vula Shaw of SDL with 54 votes and Anaseini Henry of NAPF with 34 votes. There were 4426 votes cast and 231 invalid votes.

Fiji Labour Party's Anand Babla has been declared the winner for the Tavua Indian Communal. Babla, 53, received 5707 votes at the end of the second count while the National Federation Party's Suresh Chandra bagged 1329 votes. The SDL's Mohammed Janif Khan had 144 votes. A total of 7,912 votes were cast out of which 732 were stated to have been invalid.

FLP's Jain Kumar has won the Ba East Indian Communal with 4946 votes over Praveen Bala of the NFP with 1874 votes and Nirbhay Chand of the SDL with 34 votes. The FLP's Satendra Singh won this seat in 2001.

The Fiji Labour Party's Narendra Padarath has won the Ba West Indian Communal seat with over 61 per cent of votes. The NFP's Farouk Janeman is second with 1714 votes with Madan Sen of SDL receiving 152 votes. The seat was previously held by FLP's Gaffar Ahmed.

The Fiji Labour Party's Udit Narayan has retained his Lautoka Rural Indian Communal seat. He won 6832 out of the total 8852 valid votes cast at the Natabua High School counting centre in Lautoka today. The NFP's Naren Prasad had 1643 votes followed by SDL's Mohammed Shameem at 252 votes while the National Alliance Party's candidate Deo Kumar got only 125 votes. Out of the 9841 registered votes, 989 were declared invalid.

After much verification, the Fiji Labour Party's Jai Gawander has been declared the winner securing more than 80 per cent of the votes cast in the constituency. Gawander received 7629 votes thrashing National Federation Party's Rakesh Kumar who had 1590 votes and SDL's Azizul Dean who received 158 votes. A total of 10634 votes were cast with 1085 votes deemed invalid. The seat was won by academic Dr Ganesh Chand for the FLP in the last election.

Fiji Labour Party has bagged another Indian communal seat in the Western Division after Vyas Deo Sharma's landslide win with 7131 votes. National Federation Party's Rajendra Singh received 748 votes while SDL's Abdul Afizu Rahiman had 330 votes while National Alliance Party of Fiji candidate Sanel Prasad bagged 155 votes. Independent candidate Arbin Prakash Narayan had 14 votes with 860 votes declared invalid. Total number of votes cast in the Vuda Indian Communal constituency was 9238 out of the 10,537 voters registered.

The Fiji Labour Party's Gunasagran Gounder has taken the Nadi Urban Indian Communal seat, with 8108 votes. His closest rival was the NFP's Sushila Ramesh with 2151 votes, with the SDL's Mohammed Sharif getting 266 votes, Kamlesh Prasad an independent 120 votes and Sanmogam Naidu, another independent 15 votes. There were 11453 votes cast in total and 793 were invalid votes.

Fiji Labour Party's Perumal Mupnar has won the Nadi Rural Indian communal seat, winning 6935 of the valid votes cast. Karna Waddi Raju of National Federation Party had 2427 votes and SDL's Armogam Sami followed with 129 votes from the total of 9491 votes cast.

Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi of the Fiji Labour Party has easily won the Nadroga Indian Communal seat. He recorded 7219 votes compared to 1215 for Parma Nand of the NFP and 474 for Ashok Kumar of the National Alliance.

George Shiu Raj, Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs in the Qarase Government, has retained his Ra Open seat, with 10,172 votes. He was followed by the FLP's Epineri Vocevuka with 4870 votes and NAPF's Aporosa Vuerewa with 968 votes. A total of 16,010 valid votes was recorded for this seat.

FLP's Damodar has won the Tavua Open seat with 7231 votes. Semi Leiene of SDL came in second with 4069 votes, followed by NFP's Narendra Reddy who had 1723 votes.

Former Opposition leader and Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Pal Chaudhry has had a landslide win in the Ba Open seat, securing 10,709 votes. Out of the total 18347 votes cast 1422 was deemed invalid. National Federation Party's Ram Lajendra had 2981 votes while SDL's two candidates Jale Baba and Faiaaz Ali secured only 2737 votes.

The FLP's Gyan Singh has won the Magodro Open seat on the first count with 9000 votes. The SDL's Josese Botitu got 3761 votes, Davendra Naidu of NFP 2023 votes, and Vijay Lal of NAPF 731 votes. There were a total of 17,488 votes cast in the constituency with 1973 invalid votes.

The Fiji Labour Party's Daniel Urai has won the Lautoka City Open seat on the fourth progressive count on NFP votes. Urai had 7839 votes while the SDL's Jone Bouwalu was second with 5290 votes. The NFP's Salesh Naidu had 1766 votes, Alexander O'Connor UPP 410 votes, Isimeli Bose Independent 350 votes, Josefa Niumataiwalu Independent 89 and Brijesh Chand Independent 62 votes. There were a total of 16239 votes cast in the constituency with 1244 invalid votes.

Trade unionist and former senator Felix Anthony has won the Vuda Open seat for the Fiji Labour Party, with 9745 votes. He was followed by the SDL's Mohammed Yusuf with 4435 votes, Narend Kumar of NFP with 1267 votes, Viliame Rakuli of PANU with 171 votes and Aca Saukuru Independent with 54 votes. A total of 15,678 valid votes was recorded for this seat.

The Fiji Labour Party's Amjad Ali has won the Nadi Open seat on the eighth progressive count, with 9688 votes. Ali beat the SDL's Shyam Sundaram who had 6222 votes and the NFP's Prem Singh who had 2676 votes. There were a total of 19,942 votes cast in the constituency with 1356 invalid votes.

The FLP's Sivia Qoro has won the Yasawa Nawaka Open with 7858 votes of the 15623 up for grabs. Coming in second was SDL's Saimoni Naivalu with 4163 votes, followed by Bal Subramani of the NFP with 2772 votes, PANU's Mataiasi N Saukuru with 769 votes and Independent Dewa Chand had 60 votes.

Mesulame Rakuro has won the Nadroga Open seat on the fourth count in the 2006 General Election. Rakuro scored 7939 votes compared to 6899 votes for Viliame Navoka of SDL. This seat was won by Jonetani Kurisaru Galuinadi of SDL in 2001. The constituency has 10103 Fijians, 8165 Indians, 47 Rotumans and 275 General Voters.

Counting of ballot papers of all 71 constituencies in Fiji has ended with the final seat - Serua Navosa Open constituency going to SDL's Jone Navakamocea who won on the seventh count with 10,143 votes.

The SDL's Ratu Isikeli Tasere has won the Nadroga/Navosa Fijian Communal seat with 10624 votes of the valid votes cast. The FLP's Veniana Gonewai was second with 2527 votes, the Independent Peniasi Kunatuba with 1167 votes, PANU's Inoke Kadralevu with 356 votes and the NVTL's Sakiusa Manumanunivalu with 172 votes. Out of the 16,704 registered votes, 1857 votes were declared invalid. This seat was won by Pita Kewa Nacuva of SDL in 2001.

Sitting member Tom Vuetilovoni of SDL has won the Ra Fijian Communal seat, with 6456 votes. He beat Timoci Naco of FLP (1048 votes), Independent Tevita Tabalailai (734), and Mosese Raimuria of the NAPF (225). A total of 9590 votes were cast, with 1127 invalid.

The SDL's Paulo Ralulu has won the Ba East Fijian Provincial Communal seat on the first count, winning 5528 of the valid votes cast. The Party of National Unity's Ponipate Lesavua got 2888 votes and the NFP's Apimeleki Nabaro 732 votes. There were 9148 valid votes cast.

The SDL's Ratu Meli Saukuru has won the Ba West Fijian Communal seat with 9211 of the valid votes cast. The FLP's Taniela Wai was second with 1156 votes, PANU's Meli Bogileka was third with 883 votes, and Pauliasi Namua of NFP had 257 votes. This was a seat PANU had hoped to win for the People's Coalition together with the Ba East seat, but PANU had a weak showing. Out of the 12650 registered votes, 1143 were declared invalid.

Jioji Banuve, Assistant Minister for Housing in the Qarase Government, has retained his North West Fijian Urban Communal seat, with 11,620 votes. He was followed by the FLP's Akanisi Koroitamana with 2017 votes, Independent Ravuama Nanovu with 477 votes, NAPF's Lemeki Vuetaki with 283 votes, Ratu Maikeli Lalabalavu of NFP with 158 votes, Vuli Salusalu of UPP with 115 votes, and Mosese Tukikaukamea with 31 votes. A total of 15,550 valid votes was recorded for this seat. There were 849 invalid votes.

SDL's Mitieli Bulanauca has pulled away to claim the Bua Communal seat. Bulanauca polled 4321 while nearest rival Selaima Veisamasama scored 684 while incumbent Josateki Vula received 146 votes.

Sitting member and caretaker Minister for Youth and Sports Isireli Leweniqila of SDL has won the Macuata Fijian Provincial Communal seat, with 7075 votes. He beat Samuela Nakete of the FLP (459 votes), Erami Biaunisala Independent (295), Wasasala Samuela of NFP (215) and Savenaca Damudamu Independent (103). There were 8147 votes cast and 809 were declared invalid.

Caretaker Transport Minister Ratu Naiqama has retained his Cakaudrove East Fijian Communal seat after polling 6120 votes. He easily eclipsed National Alliance Party's Melania Lutuvakula, who polled 480 votes and Independent candidate Filimone Vosarogo, who took 287 votes.

This seat was won by Ratu Lalabalavu of CAMV in 2001.

Niko Nawaikula has won the Cakaudrove West Fijian Provincial Communal seat with 7674 votes. Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure of CAMV won the seat in 2001. N. Nawaikula of CAMV won by election in 2005. Ratu Kinijoji Maivalili of SVT won the seat in 1999.

Independent candidate Robin Irwin has pulled a major upset by winning the Northern General Communal seat on the firth count. Sitting member David Christopher of the SDL was ahead on the first count, but ended up with only 1639 votes while Irwin got 2014 votes to win.

Surendra Lal of FLP has won the Vanua Levu West Indian Communal seat with 4866 votes. Suresh Chand - 33, Bijay Prasad - 48, Suvinay Basawaiya - 708, Charan Jeath SIngh 950. Invalid votes 568 valid votes 6625.

Kamlesh Reddy of FLP is the unofficial winner of the Labasa Indian Communal seat with 6,813 votes in the first count. Jaiwant Arulappan of NFP had the second highest votes of 1137 and the SDL's Subrail Gounder had 147 votes.

Mohammed Tahir has won the Labasa Rural Indian Communal seat. Tahir polled 5279 of 7012 votes cast while NFP's Mohammed Rafiq received 930 votes and Satya Deo of NAFP has 139 votes.

Mohammed Lateef Subedar of FLP won the seat in 1999 and 2001.

The Fiji Labour Party's Vijay Chand has won the Macuata East/Cakaudrove Indian Communal Constituency with 5298 votes.

Kamal Kumar Raj of the NFP had 632 votes, James Venkat Sami of the National Alliance 350, Chitra Singh of SDL 81 votes and 754 were invalid votes.

Former senator Ratu Josefa Dimuri of SDL has won the Bua/Macuata West Open seat, the first open seat to be decided with 8307 votes. He beat Lemeki Qalibau of FLP (4618), Joseva Cavu of NAPF (939), Josefa Rusaqoli of NFP (565), Suliasi Saraqia Independent (520), Isireli Tuvuki (235), and the NAPF's Hazrat Ali (48) and Vitoria Cavalevu (30). There were 15270 votes cast and 1297 were declared invalid.

The Fiji Labour Party's Poseci Bune has retained his Labasa Open seat. He won 8066 votes. The SDL's Timoci Bulitavu had 3015 votes followed by the NFP president Raman Pratap Singh on 1266 votes while the National Alliance Party's candidate Siteri Gonelevu got 273 votes, the SDL's Semi Lutua got 265 votes, the Mohammed Sharif 80, and Koresi Matatolu of NAPF 5 votes. Out of the 12970 registered votes, 925 were declared invalid.

The Fiji Labour Party's Agni Deo Singh has won the Macuata East Open seat, with 8357 votes. He beat the SDL's Iliesa Seru who had 3343 votes and Pramod Chand of the NFP who had 1669 votes. There were 1580 invalid votes.

The SDL's Ratu Osea Vakalalabure has won the Cakaudrove West Open seat, winning 8409 of the valid votes cast. The FLP's Salaceni Gonelevu was second with 2359 votes, Peni Naulu Independent 1544 votes, Inia Tubui of SDL 698 votes, Aporosa Tuikoalau 540 votes, Gilbert Vakalalabure 511 votes and Solomone Catarogo 91. Out of the 14152 registered votes, 1128 were declared invalid. The seat was previously held by Manasa Tugia of CAMV.

Former senior army officer and Fiji ambassador to Australia Jioji Konrote, an Independent, has won the Rotuma Communal seat, with 2508 votes. Another Independent Victor Fatiaki was second with 1361 votes, followed by Mua Taukave with 566 votes. A total of 4,435 valid votes was recorded for this seat. There were 302 invalid votes.

Caretaker Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has won the Lau Fijian Communal seat after claiming 4896 of 5943 votes up for grabs in the constituency.

Laisenia Qarase of SDL won the seat in 2001. Adi Koila Nailatikau of VLV won the seat in 1999.

The SDL's Savenaca Draunidalo has retained his Lau/Taveuni/Rotuma Open seat. He won 10,888 votes. The NAPF's Fani Vosaniveibuli had 2553 votes and Ilisoni Taoba Independent 223 votes. The total number of votes cast was 15585 and the number of invalid 1705 votes.

Caretaker Minister for Fisheries and sitting member Konisi Yabaki has won the Kadavu Fijian Communal seat. He polled 3766 of the required 2531 votes to beat Independents Jim Ah Koy, Rupeni Koroi and FLP's Semesa Matanawa.
